Highest Vibed Stories So Far

I recently wrote about the importance of voting on High Vibe It - and left out an important note… it is important to vote on published stories too!

For example, anyone visiting the High Vibe It site can easily look for the most popular stories Today, Yesterday, and by Week, Month, and Year.

Here are the top stories to date:

Your votes make it all happen

First and foremost - many, many thanks to Cardin at OptimistLab and ALL of the authors of the great contributions to the High Vibes Game!

“Wow” doesn’t begin to describe the JOY and positive energy coming from all of this activity.

This post is just a simple reminder to all of the current and future High Vibe It members - Your Vote Makes It Happen!

Just take a look here at all of the current upcoming stories with two votes. Any of these stories that you read, like, and vote for will be published to the home page. It’s just that simple.

Stories published to the home page get more attention. When you share your High Vibes - you make more High Vibes - and you know what they say - what comes around goes around.

After you get your vote on, you can check the Top Users page sorted by votes, and see your name at the top… come on, you know you wanna :)

Happy Voting High Vibers!

Five ways I raise my vibes

I have been tagged by Clyde at the Feeling Good blog to add five ways that I raise my vibes… so here’s my contribution to the High Vibes Game of tag!

(For more on the game, look here for the post that started it all at OptimistLab, and here for my quick post on the game.)

5 Ways I raise my vibes

1) Laugh

Even if you are feeling terrible - just force it! Sometimes, when I am feeling really, really bad, and I force myself to laugh - the result is so ridiculous that I find myself really laughing at the whole thing, and I feel a little better than when I started.

2) Let my inner child take over

Dance, play, bang on pots and pans, make stupid jokes, seek love and affirmation freely, cry for no apparent reason, run away from the boogie man, eat marshmallows with glee.

If you have forgotten how kids act, and don’t have any rugrats around to learn from - go to a playground and just watch and learn. Kids live in the moment. They can teach us a lot!

3) Get into the Now

Stop for just a minute - stop worrying about the state of the world, your bills, your past, your job, what your neighbors think, etc… In fact, maybe the easiest way to let it go is to let it all start running through your mind like a sound track - and slowly back away, and as you back away with the soundtrack running, start to hear it more and more as if it is coming across like Charlie Brown’s teacher:

“What about work, your doctor appointment, the results of the test, those bills, whaaa whaaa whaaa whaaa whaaaaaa”

Get it?

Eventually, you’ll be able to tune out that droning… then look around. Just look, listen, feel. Don’t judge it. Just be.

4) Think of the love that has been present in your life

Think of someone you have loved, someone that brought you peace and joy and never hurt you… Doesn’t matter how new or old the love is, doesn’t matter if the person is near or far, just think about that love for a while - not missing it or wanting to recreate it - just appreciating its presence in your life.

5) Go outside and look around

Walk, drive, run, skip, sit in the grass, climb a tree - whatever you want to do - but get out of your head and into the world that is unfolding around you!

That’s it for now!

If you like - please drop by the High Vibe It site, and vote for it!

Now, I would like to point out five awesome posts by fellow bloggers… I’ll include the High Vibe It link, so you can vote there before jumping off to the bloggers’ website!

  1. How to get rid of your limiting beliefs at the Abundance Journal
  2. Understanding and Getting Over Your Difficult Childhood: Part One & Part Two at the OptimistLab
  3. Law of Attraction in Popular Culture at AttractionHacker
  4. 10 Rules for Being Human at Cultivate Greatness
  5. The 12 Conditions of a Miracle at Sweet Miracles

If you like these posts, please vote for them at the High Vibe It site - the more votes, the more people that will read these wondeful thoughts. Together, we raise these ideas and vibrations higher and higher!

I am not sure who to tag that hasn’t already been tagged… so I will give that part of the game a little more thought!

Now… you… you there at the computer… back away from the mouse and go outside for a bit!

High Vibe It site upgrade

The High Vibe It is “powered by Pligg”… which recently released a newer version of the software.

As such, I found I had to change the template (i.e. the look and feel) that the site uses in order to get the latest features. It is going to take me some time to get the look of the site back to where I would like it to be.

In the meantime, the site should be more responsive… I also like that so much more functionality is easier to get to with this newer template.

Here are some highlights:

While we’re on the subject of tags… take a look at all of the new stories tagged with HighVibeItGame… the new tag introduced to collect all the great submissions for the High Vibes Game introduced by Cardin Routh over at OptimistLab.

The members making it happen

I wanted to take a moment to say Thank You to the members of the High Vibe It community - thanks to your contributions and your votes, yesterday marks the first day that stories began showing up on the home page due purely to member activity!

At this time, there are 98 stories in the “Vibe queue”… the upcoming section. Since the vote threshold is set so low right now - all it takes are three votes - the actions of a few involved members decides what gets published. As the activity and number of submissions increases, so will the vote threshold.

If you get a chance, take a look at the Top Members page - it’s a great way to navigate in and get to some great content.

Thank You Thank You Thank You!!!
