The members making it happen

I wanted to take a moment to say Thank You to the members of the High Vibe It community - thanks to your contributions and your votes, yesterday marks the first day that stories began showing up on the home page due purely to member activity!

At this time, there are 98 stories in the “Vibe queue”… the upcoming section. Since the vote threshold is set so low right now - all it takes are three votes - the actions of a few involved members decides what gets published. As the activity and number of submissions increases, so will the vote threshold.

If you get a chance, take a look at the Top Members page - it’s a great way to navigate in and get to some great content.

Thank You Thank You Thank You!!!

Today’s theme - FUN

While I look for ways to make the voting system more intuitive at the High Vibe It site, and hopefully make it easier for more people to get involved, I will continue to promote stories to the home page myself.

When it gets going, the way the site will eventually work will be very fun and interesting… as the stories the pop up on the home page will come from people voting for them from the Vibe queue.

In the meantime, it’s kind of fun for me to settle on a theme and promote submissions that match the theme.

Today’s theme was actually motivated in part by a dream I had recently… a dream that has really stuck with me.

In the dream, I witnessed as a woman teacher drew from her chest a dark mass of anger and held it out in front of her. Then, these dolphins swam up in front of her with their big loving and knowing grins… and dissolved the anger before swimming away.

I looked on with astonishment, and asked the woman “how did they do that”, and with a wink, she said “with their sonar, of course”.

One possibility for the meaning behind this dream is that it is my higher self telling me to lighten up, release my anger, and have some fun. Dolphins are known for the lightness of being, and for being playful.

For this reason, I was pleased beyond description to find several submissions on the topic of fun and laughter. These themes run through and through all the teachings I am finding, and speak to me on so many levels.

So here are today’s promotions… if you like, please log in and click the High Vibe It link below the counter box to the left of the story headline!

If interested, join in the fun, and add some things from your Fun List to the comments under the Fun List submission!

Many thanks to the authors of these articles, and to all the members of the High Vibe It community. It is a joy to watch this site grow.

Now… it’s FUN TIME for me… which means breaking away from the world wide web of bits and bytes, and engaging in the world wide web of energy and joy!

The High Vibes Game

The Game

Wow.

So while distracted by the temporary flurry of activity going on in my personal life, I have missed some truly wonderful things happening here at my own site!

A friend, Cardin Routh at OptimistLab, has kicked off an interesting game called “The High Vibes Game“.

It’s a simple, fun and friendly five step game of Tag on the web. A way to get to know other like minded bloggers, and share the vibes, and share the love!

The rules of the game are explained here.

Why I love it

What I love about this game is how well it is aligned with the original intentions behind the High Vibe It site.

I think of the site as an engine that might act almost like a satellite dish. As we all point and bounce our positive intentions and words and ‘high vibes’ at it, and as others come and vote and comment on stories… it just seems that what will emerge over time will be even more powerful and positive intentions and uplifting energy.

With that, I send much gratitude to Cardin Routh at OptimistLab.

Tag Away!

Good things happening at high Vibe it

I just wanted to post a quick bit about all the great content coming in to the high Vibe it website lately!

It is so exciting to see members joining, and really getting the idea.

There is so much great content now, it’s more important than ever for people to “high Vibe” (aka vote) for their favorite stories. The voting will help driving how different links within the site work, amongst other things. In short, the higher the Vibe, the more likely that others will come across the link down the road.

  • So please visit the Vibe queue to see all the great new stuff coming in.

I will keep an eye on the votes. The way the site is currently configured - anything with FIVE high Vibes automatically gets published to the home page. Until more members get the hang of the voting system, I will continue to promote at least three stories a day… looking first for higher Vibed stories.

Also, check out some of the top members’ pages to see lists of submissions… these folks are really bringing in a lot of great pointers!

I wanted to take a moment to highlight the contributions of one of the top submitters to date:

  • OptimistLab - there are 40 and counting outstanding submissions here… all of which are really on target for the theme of this site.

Check it out, and be sure to “high Vibe” the stories that move you to higher ground!

Heading downstream

My teachers speak of moving downstream. Moving with the flow. Allowing. Becoming a vibrational match to that which you want to welcome into your life.

Life is not the struggle my mind has made it out to be. I have all too often found myself caught in an endless tug of war with reality… anytime I hear myself use the word “should” - I know it is happening. “Should” is the language of my mind - it is ME trying to impose my will on the world outside of me.

My spiritual journey shall not become yet another struggle in my life. I am healing, growing, and learning.

I may be on the quiet side for a while. There are things happening around me that I want to give my attention to - for a while.

My heart knows where I am heading.

I am heading downstream.
